Apple team is busy in changing the structure of your TV from a simple audio/visual signal receiving display set to much more hi-tech and intelligent device. The plan is to incorporate iPad into your TV along with movie and music streaming services.
Apple is rumored to come up with 3 super models of itv later this year, may be in November 2013 when the shopping season is at its peak.
The gurus in the field expect itv to have either A5 Processor or Apple A6 (same as iPad 3) with 1080p Video and the display features similar to that of ‘Apple Cinema’. As for operating system, iTV is likely to run iOS 6 Beta. It would be really interesting to see how new iTV works like an iPad with a similar OS.
I would like to quote Steve Jobs here, "I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine." The new iTV models are the result of Steve Jobs imagination and creativity for a simple yet multi-functional television set.
Apple iTv will come with a remote control, just like any TV remote control but it would be controllable with your iPod, iPad and iPhones with ease but the real control would be ‘Siri’. Specialty of this new itv would be following user’s voice command for changing channels and other features. Apple may be developing a smart tv but to watch tv serials over it, you still need to have a ‘cable TV subscription and a decoder.
Latest rumours going around the market is the incorporation of movie and music streaming services in iTV. I am sure users will be a lot more excited about it.
Estimated Market PriceAccording to a report, the cost price of these smart apple iTVs is estimated to lie in between $1,500 to $2,000.
Estimates Size of Apple iTVThe size of the three new models of Apple iTV is expected to be 42”, 52” and 60” flat screen, though actual size has not been revealed by the company.
Apple team is working hard to change your experience of watching television at home. The new definition of a television is about to be changed with iTV. Now it is an intelligent TV with smart features, so who gonna call it a ‘stupid box’?
