Sony shaping up a new Flagship Smartphone: To be debuted in the upcoming year

Sony's New Flagship Smartphone: Yuga

Who isn't aware about the technical superiority of Sony in the field of information technology? With Sony Xperia scoring the top most rank in the most desired and superior product in the market, this company is again heard of coming up with the idea of a new flagship smartphone. This new baby of Sony is supposed to left behind all its competitors in this technical race of upcoming Smartphones. It is probably going to be debuted in the early months of the up-coming year 2013.

Sony is heard of working on the Jelly Bean ‘Yuga’ model. This model is under the developmental stage and is supposed to run on a Quad-core S 4 processor, and having a 1080px 5 inch display feature. This model could prove to be the base of a good flagship Smartphone for Sony. Till now 4.6 or 4.7 inch display was the standard for flagship models but with the launched of HTC 5 inch Droid DNA phone, this tread seems changing. Sony might keep its focus on Android operating system; But Gingerbread platform or the ice-cream sandwich? It would be interesting to see this. These are still the speculations and we are eagerly awaiting its official announcement and a debut.

According to Financial Times Deutschland, Dennis Van Schie, the Sales and marketing head of Sony Mobile communications in conversation with the FTD stated that in the near future, they are going to create a flagship model for Smartphone that can compete with Apple’s iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S3. It was also suggested that we can expect this top model of the phone on the CES show to be held in Las Vegas in the month of January and also, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This will happen early 2013. Further Van Schie was heard of quoting his good relationship with the Microsoft and in such a case Windows Phone linkage cannot be ruled out completely.

Further, Van Schie disclosed his company's new plans on tablet industry by saying, “We will bring in addition to the existing Xperia Tablet other Android tablets to the market, but not many,”

Mobile phones are one of the fastest growing industries in the world. The names mentioned by Dennis Van Schie are already in the market, so this new Sony’s baby would be able to keep up with its competitors who too are planning something new in their series?
