LG Nexus 4 review with 4 basic limitations

LG Nexus 4 Review with 4 basic limitations

LG Nexus 4 is already in market in many countries and is soon going to be launched in India. It is a Google branded smartphone from LG. This new device has almost everything you have been waiting for.

On first look, LG Nexus 4 seems very much like Galaxy Nexus phone but there are many significant differences between them.  LG Nexus is made mostly from Gorilla Glass and have very fine smooth edges. Its futuristic flat glass back have a holographic stipple pattern which looks quite amazing. These two glass surfaces of front and backside are joined by a soft touch band which wraps around the entire device. This gives it a weighty and a handsome look.

This beauty is packed with a 1500MHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with Krait Processor which undoubtedly makes it as one of the fastest Android phones ever.  Other specifications include, a 4.7 inch WXGA True HD IPS Plus display screen with Zero gap touch technology and a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels, 2100 mAh battery with 15.3 hours of talk time and 390 hours of stand-by time, 2048 MB RAM and two cameras — an 8 megapixel shooter on the back, and a 1.3 MP at the front side for video calling. The device has NFC and supports wireless charging and also comes with HDMI connector for TV-out.

The software inside the LG Nexus 4 is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which makes it all the more innovative and impressive.

By every means LG Nexus 4 is a “Global phone” which can work on any GSM/UMTS network in the world. It has all the major features that we expect in a smartphone. The only limitation of LG Nexus 4 we can think of are:

1. Absence of a microSD slot for storage expansion.

2. Lack of LTE. This device comes equipped with HSPA+ radios and it might be a problem where HSPA service is slow.

3.  2100 mAh battery cannot be removed or replaced.

4. Not smooth with some third party apps.

LG Nexus 4 is by no doubt the best Android phone available in the market packed with all the latest features and high processing speed. It won’t be wrong if I say that till date there is no Phone in the market that could match the performance and speed of this device. Minute cons associated with it are not big issues and can be easily dealt with.

Market Price of LG Nexus 4:

It is believed to be launched in India by the end of this month. The market price of Google Nexus 8 GB in US is $299 and for its alternative variant of 16GB is $349.

We could see the latest news of pre-orders to be placed for Nexus 4 at ebay for Rs 23,490 for 8 GB and Rs 27,490 for 16 GB variants.
